‘Getafe a final for Las Palmas’

Paco Herrera says Las Palmas are approaching Sunday’s trip to Getafe in La Liga “as a final”.

The new boys head into Week 8 second from bottom in the table after back-to-back defeats and only one win to their name – albeit against European challengers Sevilla – and the Coach admits the need to add to their points haul is becoming greater.

“We’re approaching the game as a final,” he said at a Press conference.

“I want to see more of the good things we’ve done and the bad things to be corrected because we must learn from all our experiences, although we didn’t deserve to lose either match [against Eibar and Rayo Vallecano].

“Getafe are a balanced and solid team, with players who can change the dynamics of games with their individual contributions.

“I’m not concerned because our performances have been good. We just need good results against these teams [referring to Getafe].

“It seems that we’ve been more efficient against difficult opponents like Sevilla.

“Still, I have no concerns, nerves or discouragement and I’m absolutely confident we’ll do well this season.”
