Herrera: Eibar a formidable team

Paco Herrera has hailed Las Palmas' upcoming opponents Eibar as “a formidable team” but insists his side cannot show them too much respect.

The new boys will be looking for their second straight home win on Saturday, but the Coach believes his troops will have their work cut out against the high-flying Basques.

“Eibar are stubborn away from home and have started the season in tremendous form,” he said at a Press conference.

“We hope to play with the same intensity, integrity and solidarity that we showed against Sevilla.

“[Eibar] are a formidable team and we must show them plenty of respect, although no more than Sevilla.

“There aren't any League games to lose next week there league, so it's a game less to lose.

“[In light of injuries to Antolin Alcaraz and Hernan Santana] other players will have the opportunity to prove themselves.

“I won't change our system as we're making progress. It's better if I don't touch anything, only the players I use.”

Herrera also confirmed Las Palmas would spend the next two weeks training in the south of Gran Canaria while the grass at their Barranco Seco complex was being replenished.
