David Moyes has claimed that he rejected “a lot of offers” from the Premier League to stay at Real Sociedad.
The Scot ended his first season in San Sebastian with a respectable 12th-place finish in La Liga, given the side were languishing in the relegation zone when he took over last November, and he is determined to prove he made the right the decision in remaining loyal to La Real.
“I'm really enjoying the experience,” he told El Diario Vasco.
“I have a very good relationship with the club and I'm very happy. My first experience of La Liga has been positive.
“My desire was to be able to complete a full season, from start to finish.
“I received a lot of offers to return to the Premier League in the summer, but I decided to stay because I believe in this project and the players we have, all of whom I know better now than when I first arrived.”
