Barcelona will begin the defence of their La Liga title with a trip to San Mames to face Athletic Bilbao, it has been announced.
The draw for the upcoming season’s fixtures took place early this afternoon, with last campaign’s runners-up Real Madrid away to newly promoted Sporting Gijon.
Elsewhere, third-place Atletico Madrid entertain Las Palmas, Valencia travel to Rayo Vallecano and Europa League winners Sevilla head to Malaga. The first round of fixtures will take place on 22 and 23 August.
The first Clasico of the campaign will be on 8 November at Santiago Bernabeu, with the return fixture at Camp Nou on 3 April. The Madrid derbies meanwhile will be on 4 October and 28 February
