Barca back Eibar boss Garitano

Barcelona have sent a message to Eibar voicing their support for the club and Coach Gaizka Garitano.

It concerns events at Almeria over the weekend, when the Eibar boss stormed out of the post-match Press conference after local reporters complained about the first two questions put to him being answered in Euskera, the language of the Basque country.

Marca reports that the Catalan outfit praised Garitano for his stance and the letter was signed by Barca Vice-President Carles Vilarrubi, who is in charge of the club’s institutional and international matters.

As well as backing Garitano, the Blaugrana have called for such incidents not to be repeated and wished Eibar the best of luck for the remainder of the season in their fight against relegation.
