Rayo Vallecano striker Jonathan Pereira has joined Real Valladolid on loan for the rest of the season.
The Villarreal-owned attacker made just five appearances for Paco Jemez’s side during the first half of the season, prompting him to terminate his arrangement at Vallecas and drop down a division.
The 27-year-old will reinforce a frontline which has been depleted by injuries to Alejandro Alfaro and Roger Marti and is expected to be unveiled by the Segunda playoff chasers later today.
AS also reports that Valladolid’s deal for Pereira includes a clause for an additional season, providing they achieve promotion by the end of the current campaign.
