Garitano emphasises ‘small step’

Gaizka Garitano spoke of his delight with Eibar's 5-2 victory over Almeria but stressed that the result was only another 'small step'.

The Basque minnows demolished the Andalucians on Monday to secure only their second win of the season at Ipurua, and while the Coach was understandably pleased with his side's performance, he insisted that they still had plenty of work to do.

"We played well. I saw the entire team perform very well from the beginning," he told reporters.

"We haven't shown the necessary intensity at home this season, but we did this time around.

"When we scored the fourth goal, it reassured us. From this point onwards, the match was a little easier.

"We played a complete game, which made it worth conceding those two goals.

"We've taken a small step forward, but it'll be very hard and we must suffer.

"You can't help but slightly look at the table, and as of Tuesday, we'll be preparing for the match against Sevilla."
