Real Madrid to visit Australia

Real Madrid are to play on Australian soil for the first time next summer as part of the International Champions Cup.

Madrid will make their debut appearance Down Under with two matches lined up against teams from the Premier League, with the games provisionally set for July 18 and 24, according to AS.

Both fixtures will be played at the 100,000-capacity Melbourne Cricket Ground, with the opponents yet to be confirmed, although Manchester City are set to take part as they own A-League outfit Melbourne City.

Los Blancos have taken part in three editions of the ICC since 2011, winning the first two tournaments.
