Woodward holds Di Maria talks?

It is reported that Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward has reportedly held talks with Real Madrid President Florentino Perez over signing Angel Di Maria.

The Argentine attacking midfielder was an unused substitute as Los Blancos defeated Sevilla to win the European Super Cup last night in Cardiff.

According to English newspaper the Daily Mail, negotiations between the two men proceeded well, with the Bernabeu side wanting a fee of around €50m for the player’s services.

The Red Devils, who finished seventh in last season’s Premier League, have been linked with a host of big money moves for players as they look to rebuild under Louis van Gaal.
