Rafinha has welcomed the news that Xavi Hernandez is to remain at Barcelona, believing he can learn from the playmaker.
Xavi was expected to leave Camp Nou this summer but recent reports suggest he will stay with the Catalans for the foreseeable future, and Rafinha has told a Press conference he is pleased with the decision.
“Xavi represents everything. It’s great news he’ll stay,” AS reports the midfielder as saying.
“I’ll learn from the best and that is very fortunate. I’m delighted he’s staying.”
Rafinha also discussed the signing of Jeremy Mathieu from Barcelona, which was confirmed earlier on Wednesday.
“He’s a complete defender with incredible speed. He’s a great central defender and will be a great help to the team,” he said of the former Valencia captain.
