Solskjaer confirms Javi Guerra deal

Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Javi Guerra will join his team for next season, despite their relegation to the Championship.

The Welsh club almost signed the Real Valladoldi striker in January, but the 32-year-old opted instead to sign a pre-contract agreement to arrive this summer.

There had been some confusion as to whether the deal would still take place after the Bluebirds finished bottom of the Premier League.

But the Norwegian Coach has insisted that the transfer is still happening.

“He’s still  joining us yes. It’s a watertight contract all the papers are signed,” the former Manchester United man told Wales Online.

“He still needs to do his medical, but he will come and do that this month when the Spanish League has finished. That’s all sorted though. After that he joins us for preseason.”
