Osasuna boss Javi Gracia conceded Sunday was ‘a special day’ after they beat Atletico Madrid 3-0.

The Rojillos shook up the title race thanks to a resounding win against the capital club, sinking them to third in the table behind sole leaders Real Madrid.

“It’s a special day for us,” he told a Press conference. “To score three goals against one of the best teams in Europe tastes so sweet.

“This is an important step in our fight against relegation. This is the reward for a lot of hard work.

“I remember when we lost to Villarreal and Athletic and it looked like our world was going to collapse.

“But in the end, look what’s happened. We’ve only lost two in the last 10.

“We’re competing so well, but I still think there’s more to come from my lads.”
