Garcia won’t criticise Getafe

Luis Garcia has said his Getafe players don’t have a Coach who will criticise them despite the goalless draw with Valladolid.

The result means Getafe have now gone seven games without a win, a stretch dating back to the 1-0 victory over Levante in November 2013.

Garcia told his post-match Press conference that he doesn’t feel under pressure, and doesn’t want his players to feel under pressure either.

“I’ve always felt strong and supported,” Garcia said.

“Now we have to train harder and work for the next match.

“We wanted to win, we’re playing at home.

“I am a Coach who can only give confidence to my players. They won’t find in me a Coach who criticises them, just the opposite.”

Garcia added that while he wished his team had picked up three points, he couldn’t argue with the outcome.

“The only fair result was a draw,” he said.

“If Diego Castro had his shot go in it wouldn’t have been a fair result.

“The players tried hard but couldn’t get the win. They were very nervous and need to calm down.”

“We can’t be satisfied with a point against Valladolid and we didn’t play very well.

“We’re lacking in confidence and very nervous.

“I understand the criticism from the fans. We have to work hard now.”
