Juan Ignacio Martinez admitted his Real Valladolid men ‘lacked confidence’ as they drew 0-0 with Real Betis on Saturday.
The Pucela could only claim a point at home to the Verdiblancos, but the Coach was relatively pleased against a ‘complicated opponent’.
“We put in a great effort today against a team who was clearly up for it,” he told a Press conference.
“I think Betis thought they could hold out for the draw, but it was our obligation to win.
“The opponent was a complicated one though, and we lacked confidence.”
JIM then focused on the next game against Granada.
“That one is very important for us. Getting three points is vital.”
