Enrique: I didn’t like anything

Luis Enrique was heavily critical of Celta Vigo for their draw against Osasuna, musing that the draw picked up was a good result in the end.

The Galicians saw out 2013 with a 1-1 result in front of their home fans, with an own goal from  Lolo allowing them to equalise Emiliano Armenteros’ opener.

For their Coach, the result was worthwhile, but not a lot else was.

“It is a result that is more than good for us because certainly here Osasuna could have won the three points,” reflected Enrique afterwards.

“This has not been the game that I had expected. We began in the worst way possible, conceding a goal, which you can say was almost ridiculous because it was preceded by a series of consecutive errors in various lines of the team from my players.

“In the first 20 minutes we have been at the disposal of Osasuna and the picture was very difficult. Then we scored our goal, in a moment of fortune, and in the second half the game was more open.

“I have to improve much to help the team, because if we keep repeating the defensive mistakes as we had in those opening 20 minutes, we will be in a very difficult situation.

“I have enough energy to do so, but here I did not like anything, neither from those who came off the bench nor some of those who were starters.”
