Luis Garcia claimed that his Getafe side’s 4-1 win over Girona was ‘a nice gift for Christmas’.
The Azulones beat their lower league opponents comfortably on Tuesday, 5-2 overall on aggregate, but now must face either Barcelona or Cartagena in the next round.
“It was a nice gift for Christmas,” he told a Press conference. “I’m happy and I think the fans are as well.
“It was not an easy match, but the fans were excellent and saw us through until the end.
“The draw’s not great though, Now we have to wait and see who we’ve got.
“Anyway, for the moment, we’re thinking about the next League game against Barcelona on Sunday.”
