Valencia boss Miroslav Djukic has insisted that ‘whatever happens, happens’ with rumours circulating that he could lose his job.
The Serbian tactician has endured a tough start to the campaign, but go into today’s match against Osasuna knowing that three points could move them up to eighth.
“I’m doing my job and the club is doing its job,” he told a Press conference.
“I try to make the team work as well as possible and win. I fear nobody and what happens, happens. We just have to focus on football and on winning.
"The team are making me feel calm, because they are playing well and are more fluid now. I think that there is a symphony about the team now, and we have been progressing. This gives us the calm that we want.”
Djukic recognised that the Thursday win against Swansea in Europe had boosted his side.
"The atmosphere is much better, but we need to pull things back in the league and we know this. We have a good chance against Osasuna. It will be a tough game, but we are at home.
"It is extremely important to be strong at home and we need to find this. We should be calm and play like we did in the last few games, because we are moving the ball well. We should stick with this at home as well.
"I think that we have a tough game ahead of us, as Osasuna play on the counter. They use the wings well too. They are a hard team to compete against, but we are at home and want to win. We need to be intelligent about things and carry the game.”
