Fernando Llorente has reflected that he is currently focused only on continuing his form with Juventus, rather than earning a place at the World Cup.
The Spaniard is in improved form of late for the Italians, after a difficult start to life in Serie A, and has prompted talk in the peninsula of hopes of making Vicente del Bosque’s squad next summer for Brazil 2014.
For the 28-year-old, concentration is only on the here and now.
“The more I play, the better I feel. I’ve always said that I want to improve every day,” Llorente has considered to reporters today.
“I want to be a better player and I believe I’m doing a good job here, where I’m also able to help the team. I think that I can still develop a lot more.
“There’s still a long way to go until the World Cup, now isn’t the moment to talk about that.
“I know that I have to do really well here, that’s the main thing on my mind, and helping this team to win could be what gives me the chance to be there.”
