Neymar has insisted he is unlikely to keep his place as the spearhead of Barcelona’s attack once Lionel Messi returns.
The Argentine record-breaker was missing on Saturday as the Blaugrana ran out 4-1 winners over Real Valladolid, with goals coming from Alexis Sanchez, Xavi and the Brazil international.
“The number 9 position is for the best player in the world – Leo Messi,” he told the club’s official website.
“For me they were penalties, and I’m grateful to Alexis for the assist. I’m very happy.”
