Barca incentivise over player loans

Barcelona have reportedly set it up to financially incentivise Everton and Celta Vigo respectively to play Gerard Deulofeu and Rafinha this season.

Young winger Deulofeu has joined Roberto Martinez’s Premier League side this summer on a 12-month temporary deal from the Catalans, just as Rafael Alcantara, Rafinha, has joined Celta for the season.

AS report that Barca have set it so both teams are financially rewarded for the more time they play each player they have from La Blaugrana – the more minutes the players get, the more the loan fee for the campaign decreases.

Martinez recently commented on these terms to the British media.

“The deal is performance based so depending on how many games [Deulofeu] plays financially there is a difference.

“It decreases if he plays more. I don’t think it is an option to take him permanently but we can take him for longer – perhaps a further year.”
