Xabi Alonso believes that Real Sociedad youngster Asier Illaramendi will be a superb signing for Real Madrid.
Los Blancos are expected to complete a €30m deal for the Real midfielder within the next few days.
And the former Liverpool man is confident that the 23-year-old will be a success at Santiago Bernabeu.
“He’s a good player who would be an excellent addition at Real Madrid,” he told AS.
“But I prefer not to say anything more.”
Illaramendi is expected to be unveiled as a Madrid man next week.
