Isco reportedly took the opportunity of lunch with new President Florentino Perez to recommend that he sign Asier Illarramendi for Real Madrid.
New Coach Carlo Ancelotti is believed to have requested the 23-year-old midfielder be picked up this summer from Real Sociedad, but AS also say that Isco has been in Perez’s ear about the possible move.
After his presentation as a Madrid player on Wednesday, the 21-year-old playmaker apparently encouraged the President to make a move for Illarramendi over lunch yesterday.
“Presi, he’s great,” Isco is reported as repeating more than once to Perez, when talking of his Spain teammate from this summer’s UEFA Under-21 Championship.
