Spain U-21s to remain unchanged

Julen Lopetegui will reportedly run against Italy in today’s UEFA Under-21 Championship Final with the same line-up Spain used against Norway.

Heading into La Rojita’s second successive appearance in the competition final, on from the 2011 edition they are defending this summer in Israel, the team will reportedly remain unchanged.

Rodrigo Moreno is therefore expected to keep his place in attack ahead of tournament top scorer Alvaro Morata, whilst the only doubt in the XI reflects Lopetegui’s choice between Cristian Tello and Iker Muniain.

Ignacio Camacho has not been able to train with his teammates since picking up an ankle sprain against the Netherlands in the final group match, but is seen as fit enough to come off the bench in place of Koke or Asier Illarramendi if required.

Meanwhile, Italy are assured of playmaker Lorenzo Insigne’s place in the starting XI, following his recovery from an ankle injury.

This evening’s final kicks off at the Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem at 5pm UK time.

Probable lines-ups

Spain: De Gea; Montoya, Martinez, Bartra, Moreno; Koke, Thiago, Illarramendi; Tello, Isco; Rodrigo

Italy: Bardi; Donati, Bianchetti, Caldirola, Regini; Florenzi, Rossi, Verratti, Insigne; Immobile, Borini
