Valladolid prepare Djukic offer

Real Valladolid President Carlos Suarez has revealed that the club will offer Coach Miroslav Djukic a new contract ‘for three or four years’.

The former centre-back has impressed in leading Valladolid into the top flight and, as last weekend’s win over Deportivo confirmed, achieving survival this term.

With Valencia said to be considering a move for the 47-year-old should Ernesto Valverde leave in the summer, Valladolid have confirmed that they intend to pre-empt any move with a new offer.

“I will speak with him and his agent, probably next week, and we would be happy to extend the commitment that we have now. For three or four more years,” Suarez told reporters this week.

Djukic still has a year left on his current contract, but recent comments reportedly have club officials concerned that he may intend not to be at the Jose Zorilla next season.
