Ever Banega has urged his Valencia teammates to continue the team’s form towards the end of the season in search of Champions League qualification.
Los Che have temporarily closed the gap to Real Sociedad in fourth place to two points ahead of the Basques’ Monday night trip to Getafe, thanks to a 4-0 win over Osasuna in Week 34.
It was a result that left their Argentine playmaker optimistic of the team’s chances of overtaking La Real.
“We must go step by step, continue to work well, fighting together, it is possible,” enthused Banega to reporters today.
“We must continue to improve in the areas that we can. Always with trust and support behind us from the fans, we can all be together. We can and we must continue along this path.
“Rayo next weekend? We know that their defeat to Zaragoza will affect them, as well as knowing that Getafe are there fighting for position with them.
“We have to focus on not failing and wait for the results of others.”
