Mallorca’s Javier Arizmendi has been discharged from hospital, but Levante’s Juanfran remains under observation, after a weekend clash of heads.
The duo collided midway through the second half of Mallorca’s Sunday lunchtime draw with Los Granotes, with Arizmendi being substituted immediately and Juanfran following him off the pitch soon after having complained of dizziness.
Both players spent the night in hospital undergoing further tests, with Arizmendi, who only played four minutes of Sunday’s game as a substitute himself, released on Monday morning.
However, Levante have confirmed today in a statement that Juanfran will remain in hospital undergoing further observation, as protocol, but that his recovery is expected in time to see him discharged tomorrow.
