Philippe Montanier has reportedly reached an agreement in the last few days with Real Sociedad to extend his contract beyond the summer.
The Frenchman, who has led a remarkable turnaround this season to have the Anoeta outfit on the verge of Champions League qualification, has been the subject of speculation with his current contract up in the summer.
However, following on from reports that the board are now fully behind Montanier and that he has already been working with the club planning for next season, stories today are that an agreement has been reached.
Mundo Deportivo have it that the deal will be penned in the next few days ahead of official confirmation.
Whilst the length of the extension is not specified, it is believed that Montanier was pushing for a three-year agreement and that this has been the basis of an initial agreement for a while.
