Valladolid appeal replay denial

Real Valladolid have today reportedly appealed to the Appeals Committee the decision to reject a request to replay their match against Valencia.

Valladolid last week asked the Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee to replay the final minute of their Week 30 encounter at Mestalla.

This was in protest at Los Che scoring a last-minute winner off the back of taking a throw-in that had clearly been awarded to Valladolid.

Whilst the Competition Committee recognised the error by the officials, they argued that there were not the grounds for a replay.

However, reports today suggest that the Castilian side are not satisified and today have written to the Appeals Committee to revoke that decision and to rule that the final minute be replayed.
