Gregorio Manzano has admitted that he was 'disappointed' yet 'proud' of his Mallorca team after they let slip a 2-1 lead against Real Madrid.
The Islanders lost 5-2 to Los Blancos at Santiago Bernabeu yesterday evening, and the 57-year-old has conceded that it was tough to see his team lose from a winning position.
“When you do not win, of course we are disappointed,” he told a Press conference. “Especially because in the first half the scoreline was in our favour.
“It spoke volumes about how well we were playing, but we knew that Real Madrid would come back at us in the second half.
“I leave here with the feeling that the players have put all their heart into this match. I am very proud of what they did.”
