‘Madrid will concentrate on CL’

Former Barcelona man Ronald Koeman believes his ex-side have what it takes to beat Real Madrid on Saturday's Clasico.

The Blaugrana travel to Santiago Bernabeu to face Jose Mourinho's side, looking for the three points that could take them 19 points clear of Los Blancos.

And the one-time Netherlands international believes that the capital club will be focusing on their Champions League tie with Manchester United on Tuesday.

“Madrid are thinking more about the European game,” he told Espors en Xarxa. “The distance between the two means Barca will easily win the League.

“The Champions League is very important to Madrid, so I believe they will focus on that game."

He also commented on the Camp Nou club's recent downturn in results.

“It is normal that, after so many matches at a high level, you have a little slump.

“It is impossible to spend so many years right at the very top, like Barca have been.”
