Real Betis boss Pepe Mel has claimed that the remaining 13 games of the season are all 'cup finals'.

The Verdiblancos currently sit in seventh place in La Liga, just three points behind Malaga in the fourth Champions League place.

And the 49-year-old has insisted that his side have to give their all until the end of the campaign – starting this Sunday against Real Sociedad.

“We're where we are in the League because we've played more good games than we have bad,” he told a Press conference.

“But we have 13 cup finals ahead that we know will be extremely tough.

“That starts against La Real, who have the best midfield outside the top three. They also have the likes of Carlos Vela, Xabi Prieto and Chory Castro – so they are clearly at a high level.”
