Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Iturraspe believes that this weekend's derby against Real Sociedad will be 'a turning point'.
Los Leones have endured a torrid time this season having been eliminated from the Europa League and the Copa del Rey at the early stages, as well as losing 12 of their 24 games this term.
But the 23-year-old is confident that three points against their Basque rivals will spur them on to better things.
“Our situation is quite a difficult one,” he told terra.es. “We are in a delicate place, but we are desperate not to fall any further.
“A derby at San Mames, with all that entails, can be a turning point for us.”
