Manolo Jimenez believes that Real Zaragoza’s early mistakes proved crucial to the defeat at home to Real Sociedad.
La Real were 2-1 victors in front of the Aragonese home support, in Jimenez’ eyes because of errors his team made in conceding on 12 to Antoine Griezmann and then in seeing Hector sent off for two early bookings.
“In a mismatch we conceded the first goal and, at 22 minutes, with the expulsion of Hector, the game was over. Thereafter, La Real handled the game well and it was over,” complained the Coach to reporters afterwards.
“In the first few minutes, the team seemed like they were against Malaga, but for only 12 minutes that is not enough. It is a defeat but merely conditioned by the errors for the first goal and the sending off.
“I am disappointed but all that remains is self-criticism, troubleshooting and to keep working. Solutions will be found from inside the dressing room.”
