Coach Joaquin Caparros thanked Mallorca for giving him ‘many opportunities’ that ‘most teams do not provide’.
The 57-year-old was removed from the bench at Iberostar Stadium on Monday after managing just the one League win with the club since the end of September.
“A decision like this will never be liked by a professional. I want to emphasise that I speak beautifully of the club and the people of Mallorca,” Caparros stated after confirmation of his departure on Monday evening.
“I have grown not only as a Coach but as a person too. We’ve all been very close, we have tried to provide solutions.
“I appreciate the many opportunities I and my coaching staff have been given, which, as is the world of football, most teams do not provide.”
