Djukic: Extraordinary 20 minutes

Real Valladolid boss Miroslav Djukic has praised his side despite letting slip a two-goal lead against Athletic Bilbao.

Goals from Alberto Bueno and Javi Guerra gave the Pucela the lead inside 15 minutes, but the Basque side came back with two goals of their own either side of half-time to claim a share of the points.

The Serbian Coach however was pleased with side's effort, and also condemned Aritz Aduriz for what he thought was a clear red card.

“The second half was intense, but I have to congratulate my team because they played well,” he told a Press conference.

“We were not wholly successful in some areas, but our performance in the first 20 minutes was extraordinary.

“Athletic then dominated us in the second period, but we managed to compete well.

“I think Aduriz's foul on Marc Valiente was quite clearly a red card. It's broken his cheek bone, and he'll have to be operated on.

“I'm sure it's an accident, but it's a clear red card.”
