‘Three points were there for the taking’

Philippe Montanier was disappointed with his Real Sociedad team after they failed to take all three points against 10-man Celta Vigo.

Augusto Fernandez was sent off early in the second half for the Celestes, but the away team were unable to make the man-advantage count, drawing 1-1.

And the French Coach was frustrated with his team's lack of incisiveness in front of goal.

“Before we came here, we knew Celta would be a tough opponent,” he told a Press conference.

“Given the circumstances though, it's shame because we should have got more points.

“We lacked the technical quality desired to finish off the game in the second half. We had good possession and created chances, but just couldn't finish them off.

“A draw is a good result here, but we were in place to get all three points.”
