Pellegrini: Mallorca desperate for win

Malaga Coach Manuel Pellegrini has warned his team against complacency when they face Mallorca this weekend.

Joaquin Caparros' side are currently languishing in 19th place in La Liga, having won just four games all season.

But the Chilean tactician is clear that his men will have to work hard to get three points at the Iberostar Stadium.

“Mallorca are in a difficult position in the table at the moment,” he told a Press conference. “So they will be desperate for a win.

“It's going to be a tough match, so hopefully my players will have to ability and mental capacity to overcome this.”

The 59-year-old also commented on the Copa del Rey quart-final with Barcelona on Thursday, which his side lost 6-4 on aggregate.

“We have no complaints,” he said. “In the first game we got a good draw, and in the second match we lost it during the last 15 minutes.

“I congratulate them on getting to the semi-finals, but now we are focused on the League.”
