Mou on League, controversy and PSG

Jose Mourinho has reaffirmed his belief that the Spanish title is ‘impossible’ for Real Madrid, and commented that he is unlikely to end up at PSG.

The Portuguese Coach has overseen an indifferent first half to the campaign for Madrid, with the team sitting 15 points behind Barcelona in the title race.

“The League title is impossible for us right now, there is an enormous difference in the points,” reiterated Mourinho, in breaking his media silence to speak with RMC in France.

“This has been campaign a different from the previous seasons and we need to focus on other objectives, like the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.

“But we cannot become obsessed, because obsession just makes things more complicated. It won't be easy at all. We must be calm and get the full potential out of all of our players.”

The Coach was asked of the poor reception he has recently had at the Santiago Bernabeu and with the Spanish Press.

“People talk about controversies that do not exist. Every day people try and say I have done something controversial, when I have done nothing.

“I am a football Coach, I do my job and I expect results. I do my job and I'll wait and see what happens at the end of the season.”

The situation leads many to believe that he will be looking for another job come the summer, with Paris Saint-Germain touted as one possible destination.

“PSG have a great Coach [Carlo Ancelotti], they have a director of football [Leonardo] that is also my friend and a President who I have known for a long time, and who is very passionate about football.

“There are a lot of Portuguese people in Paris and a lot of football fans. They have all the ingredients for success. It'll be good for Europe to have a city like Paris in the elite of football, I think this project is going to work.

“But I don't think I will coach PSG. Success will come to them with Ancelotti and Leonardo, they don't need another Coach. I expect everything will go well for Carlo and PSG.”
