Madrid set €500,000 Cup bonus

Real Madrid have reportedly informed their players this week that each man will receive a €500,000 bonus if the European Cup is won.

The club are on the search for their 10th European crown this season and with struggles in the League having opened up a 15-point deficit to Barcelona, the club are prioritising the trophy.

So much so, report Punto Pelota, that President Florentino Perez and director general Jose Angel Sanchez informed Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos during a meeting yesterday of the extensive financial reward each player will receive, if they lift the trophy.

In addition, it is believed that Madrid have put a €300,000-per-player prize on retaining the League crown this term.

Last season, it was reported that each player was offered €360,000 as an incentive to win the Champions League. The club were knocked out at the semi-final stage by Bayern Munich on penalties.
