Real Sociedad boss Philippe Montanier admitted he was 'proud' of his players after they condemned Barcelona to their first loss of the season.
The Erreala came from 2-0 down to defeat the Catalan club 3-2 at Anoeta on Saturday night.
And the French Coach has conceded that even though Tito Vilanova's side had Gerard Pique sent off in the second half, it was a deserved win.
“I am really proud of my team,” he told a Press conference. “We have tried everything to win and have fought hard.
“Hopefully this win will give us confidence to take the next leap forward.
“Even when we were 2-0 down, my boys never gave up. We were fantastic. That win is a gift to the fans.
“Barca are a great team, even with 10 men,” he added. “They could play the entire season with 10 men.
“We knew we had to play a great game to win, and that's exactly what we did.”
