Caparros ‘annoyed’ after loss

Joaquin Caparros has admitted he was 'annoyed' with his side after they lost a 2-1 lead away to Espanyol, eventually losing 3-2.

First half goals from Giovani Dos Santos and Javier Moreno gave the Islanders the advantage, but a late strike from Raul Baena was enough for the Periquitos to come away with the three points.

And the 57-year-old has conceded that his team should have at least draw the match.

“We had the opportunity to draw the game,” he told a Press conference. “We went down to 10 men late on, and from then on they got more and more dangerous.

“I am annoyed with my players. We have gone many games without a win and tonight was a good opportunity for three points.

“We have to forget about this though, and focus on the upcoming matches.”
