We controlled game, claims Valverde

Valencia boss Ernesto Valverde thought his side were worthy winners as they defeated Sevilla 2-0 at Mestalla.

Two second half Roberto Soldado goals were enough to give Los Che the three points that takes them up to seventh in the table.

And the 48-year-old Coach has claimed that his men deserved their win.

“In the first half we controlled the game,” he told a Press conference. “But we just lacked the killer instinct.

“We lost the ball in dangerous areas and in that sense we should be more forceful – but my team did very well.”
