Mourinho has ‘no complaints’

Jose Mourinho has claimed he could not criticise his side after they drew 0-0 with Osasuna on Saturday evening.

The capital club fell 15 points behind leaders Barcelona last night as they could only draw with Jose Luis Mendilibar's men at El Sadar.

But the Portuguese Coach admitted he was pleased with his players after the final whistle.

“I liked the team's attitude,” he told a Press conference. “Lots of players had great matches, like Albiol and Coentrao, who haven't played for a while.

“I have no complaints about anyone in general. They have done what they were asked.

“It isn't here to create chances here because of the opponent's style of play. Without creating much and without having many chances, we created enough to score.”

He then commented on the performance of Iker Casillas, who was recalled to the starting XI after being dropped against Malaga and Real Sociedad.

“He did the job of a goalkeeper in a big team. He hardly touched the ball here, but he was part of the team's defensive play.

“It is too early to say whether he will play against Valencia.”

The former Inter man then remarked on the points difference between themselves and the Blaugrana.

“The explanation begins on the first match day and since then things have happened that I do not want to talk about.

After that, when the gap is big, one team plays without pressure and the other one feels like that they can’t close the gap and there are motivational issues”.
