Sahin back to Dortmund?

Reports in Germany have it that Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin is on the verge of completing a move back to Borussia Dortmund.

The Turkish international is six months through a season long loan spell at Liverpool, after struggling with injury in his first season at Real Madrid in 2011-12.

However, the Premier League side, who have no clause in the deal to sign the player permanently, have used him intermittently and are expected to cut short his stay this month.

Former club Dortmund, who sold him to Madrid in 2011 for €10m after he was voted the Bundesliga Player of the Year, are believed by Bild to be on the verge of stepping in to take him back.

It is unclear on what terms they will re-sign the 24-year-old at this stage, but Bild expect an announcement on the transfer to come through shortly.

Sahin has been linked with a return to Dortmund recently, on a loan deal until the end of the season, but Bild have suggested that the club now have the finances in place to buy him back from Los Blancos outright.
