Del Nido discussing Negredo sale

Seville-based publication Muchodeporte are reporting that Sevilla President Jose Maria del Nido is in London discussing Alvaro Negredo’s possible sale.

Del Nido posted a first loss as club President at the end of 2012, of €15m, and at the time hinted that players will have to be sold in order to help balance the books.

Whilst he has since backtracked on that particular point, rumours continue to suggest that Negredo will be out the door should a suitable offer come in.

The striker has hinted this week that a move to the Premier League may suit him and those words may have come with the knowledge that Del Nido is reportedly in London talking to a number of interested parties over a possible deal.

Newcastle United are listed as in the market and considering a possible deal for the 27-year-old, who is valued at €14m. Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be interested.

It is also alleged that Del Nido is in England for a possible deal to sell centre-back Federico Fazio, who is understood to have a number of interested clubs in the UK.
