Rueda's two match ban

Real Valladolid defender Jesus Rueda has been given a two match ban for insulting referee Carlos Clos Gomez.

The RFEF Competition Committee today announced its sanctions for players involved in incidents of indiscipline on matchday 17.

Top of the list is Rueda, who approached Clos Gomez at half time during Valladolid’s 3-1 defeat to Barcelona and accused him of favourable treatment towards Barca’s Lionel Messi.

The players issued with one match bans for red cards or accumulation of yellow cards are Atletico Madrid trio Radamel Falcao, Arda Turan and Miranda, Levante’s Obafemi Martins, Real Mallorca’s Victor Casadeus, Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos and Pepe, Osasuna’s Alejandro Arribas and Sevilla’s Coke.
