Deportivo consider Oltra’s future?

Jose Luis Oltra could be out of a job this evening or handed one more chance as he meets with Deportivo President Augusto Cesar Lendoiro.

The club confirmed in a brief, late statement on their official website over the weekend that Lendoiro will be meeting with first team Coach Oltra on Sunday, 24 hours before the playing staff are due back to begin training.

Depor have slipped to bottom of the League after a return of just one win from the last 16 games played and Oltra has faced scrutiny in the media for his style of play and choice of substitutions during games.

The Galician outfit’s statement only confirmed that Lendoiro and Oltra will be meeting and that ‘the issues discussed during the meeting will be subsequently reported by the club’. Speculation is suggesting that the Coach could be sacked.

However, La Opinion Coruna are running the line that the 43-year-old, who took Depor to the Segunda Division title last season with a record 91 points, will most likely be handed one last chance to prove himself with the weekend visit of Malaga.
