Real Sociedad Coach Philippe Montanier admits his side must rediscover their speed and scoring touch to beat Sevilla tomorrow.

La Real thumped Valencia 5-2 two weeks ago but have drawn their last two matches 1-1 and 0-0 with Getafe and Granada respectively.

“We will have to play with more speed, mobility and combativeness up front,” stated the Frenchman in his pre-match Press conference. “Because if we don’t we cannot beat anyone, as demonstrated in Granada.

“At home lately our failure to score goals is costing us but I hope this time we show up with more spark and play a good game.”

Montanier has faced calls for his sacking from the fans several times but is insistent that this has been not only a good season, but a good year for the Txuri-urdin.

“We want to finish well in 2012 and give everyone a gift. This year has been good for us, both the second round of last season and the first of this. But it will not be easy because we are facing a tough team that will try to prevent us.

“I’ve not used their last few games as a reference because they’ve finished with nine or ten players. I think the level they exhibited against Real Betis and Real Madrid was great, and it’s at times like that that you see they have the potential to be a Champions League team.”

13th placed Sevilla will draw level with 8th placed La Real on 22 points with a win at Anoeta.
