Ronaldo aims to tick Balaidos off list

Cristiano Ronaldo is hoping to conquer another Spanish stadium when Real Madrid take on Celta Vigo this evening.

Madrid’s objective is to put one foot in the Copa del Rey quarter finals with a first leg win but Ronaldo has his own personal motivation, as a remarkable set of statistics published by Marca today reveal.

The Portuguese winger is aiming to add Balaidos to the long list of stadiums he has scored at within Spain. Remarkably, since signing for Los Blancos in 2009, he has netted at 25 of the 27 arenas he has played at – not including the Bernabeu.

His favourite hunting grounds include Malaga’s La Rosaleda and Real Mallorca’s Iberostar, where he has scored five, plus Barcelona’s Camp Nou, where he has scored six, but the place that dreads his visit most of all is Sevilla’s Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, where the 27-year-old has hit seven goals in four appearances.

The only stadiums which have resisted him are Deportivo La Coruna’s Riazor, and Murcia’s Nuevo Condomina.
