Sergio Ramos: Referees are harming us

Sergio Ramos admitted he was angry with the officials after he had a goal disallowed in Real Madrid's 3-2 win over Real Valladolid.

The Spain international saw his strike ruled out for offside against the Pucela, and even though Mesut Ozil rescued all three points for Los Blancos, the 26-year-old produced a scathing tirade against the officials.

“It was my goal and it makes me angry that is was disallowed,” he told AS. “But ultimately we got the three points.

“With another result, the consequences would be very different. They've harmed us in more than one match now.

“It's about time they make a mistake in our favour.”

He also commented on the capital club's failings from set-pieces, as well as the gap between themselves and Barcelona.

“It is indisputable that we have to improve at set pieces,” he said. “We failed, especially in the first half.

“We will not cover up our mistakes. We must acknowledge them…..and so must the referees.

“The gap between us and the leaders is very wide. Any slip up from us would make it almost impossible [to catch them].”
